First set lead slips away from Bison in road match against Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - For the second time in less than two weeks, Gallaudet University faced Dickinson College in a women's volleyball match. The Bison traveled to the Red Devils' home court here Wednesday night and lost in straight sets, 3-0 (28-30, 10-25, 16-25).

Gallaudet (2-7) walked into the Kline Sports Center on fire as it jumped out to an early 9-4 lead in the first set and saw that lead grow to 17-10 and eventually got to set point, 24-22. A Bison service error opened the door for the Red Devils to come back and knot the set at 24 apiece. The two teams exchanged points for eight consecutive possessions before Dickinson recorded the two final points to win the 30-28 set.

Dickinson (5-3) used that momentum to take control of the second and third sets en route to the sweep.
